'Brick & Basil Pizzeria was born from a simple vision: to share genuine Neapolitan pizza with Rome. Established by the Bianchi family in 1987, we began as a tiny, family-run spot built on time-honored recipes passed down for generations.
Marco Bianchi, our founder, refined her craft while traveling across Italy, training with master pizzaiolos in Naples, the cradle of pizza. When she returned to the UK, she set out to recreate the spirit of real Italian pizza using classic techniques and top-tier ingredients.
What started as a cozy 12-seat shop has become a cherished neighborhood staple, yet our devotion to excellence and authenticity remains unchanged. We still rely on wood-fired baking, prepare our dough fresh every day, and seek out the finest ingredients available.
Today, 'Brick & Basil Pizzeria is still family-owned and managed, with the Bianchi family's second generation now guiding our dedicated team. Though we've adopted a few modern touches, our core purpose is unchanged: crafting flavorful, authentic pizza that brings people together.
